YOU CAN FORM A GROUP TO TRAVEL
AND EVEN MAKE MONEY!
By Shirley Linde
What better place to hold a conference or business meeting than
on a cruise ship? What better place for your food and wine club to go than a cruise
along the California coast or along a river in France with port stops at famous
vineyards? What better way for your golf group to play golf at a different club
every day?
And you can save a lot of money doing it. People who travel together in church,
club, school or family groups can get a group fare, and even better – for every
11-15 people you can usually get one free extra ticket. You can sell the ticket
to lower everyone’s cost even more, or you can use the free passage for yourself
as a reward for putting the group together.
The ship can arrange a room for meetings, a bulletin board for notices for your
group, and a group photograph if you wish. You can book cabins in the same area
of the ship so you can wander from cabin to cabin, or book one person in a suite
to use for cocktails and gatherings. You can arrange to be together for dinner
and for on-shore excursions. You make all the group arrangements right at the
time you book.
Do you belong to any of the following groups? You can arrange a group cruise at
group rates.
