We
were in St. George’s, Grenada, having just walked through the busy
tunnel to get to the other side of the city, when we saw a blind man
standing at the corner feeling around with his white cane, but helpless
against the traffic hurtling by. Another islander walked up and offered
his help, the two walking away with the rescuer’s arm around the blind
man’s shoulders. That is the kind of simpatico and friendliness that we
found in exploring islands of the Caribbean on Wind Surf.

ANTARCTICA -- Hurtigruten, formerly known as
Norwegian Coastal Voyage, is offering savings of
$1,000 to $3,600 per person on five Antarctic
expeditions in 2008 and 2009 with itineraries
ranging from 13 to 22 days. The cruises are on
expedition ship Fram and include Marguerite Bay,
home to the only known breeding colony of emperor
penguins on the west side of the Antarctica
Peninsula. With the discount, fares range from
$5,799 to $15,599 per person.

is offering a discount of $500 per person on two
sailings to introduce their new river cruise in
India. A 10-night safari cruise goes on the
Brahmaputra River between
