image of Plancius penguins

Antarctica, Falklands & South Georgia Cruise ...
19-day wildlife adventure with Oceanwide Expeditions
There are penguins as far as the eye can see. It is an amazing site. We are in the South Georgia Islands at St. Andrews Bay, home of the world’s largest King Penguin colony, 150,000 breeding pairs! Landing here is only possible if conditions are ideal. We were able to land, then had to hike awhile, and then ford a stream of glacial melt-off with a very heavy current and water deeper than our boots are high. Once on the other side we saw the penguins and even saw an all black King Penguin, quite a rarity.

We were on board Plancius, the newest ship in the Oceanwide Expeditions fleet, on a 19- day journey to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula.

VISIT THE TITANIC WRECK ON A UNIQUE CRUISE.  If you book now you can get a guaranteed cabin on what should be an historic Titanic memorial cruise scheduled for April 2012. The voyage Titanic 2012 will visit the wreck site where the ship now rests at the bottom of the North Atlantic. Historians and Titanic buffs will go from Boston on April 10, 2012 for a nine-day excursion to the Titanic site, with a stop in Halifax. Days at sea will feature experts in Titanic’s history,  those who have dived on the wreck, and direct descendants of original passengers or crew members. There will be a remotely operated camera to obtain video of the ship where she rests more than two and a half miles down.
The Titanic hit an iceberg the night of April 14, 1912 and sank in 2 hours and 43 minutes. On the Titanic 2012 voyage, on the same date 100 years later, a memorial will be lowered to the sea floor beside the bow of the ship, in tribute to her legacy.
