Itinerary:
There are 2 different SE Alaska wilderness cruises between Sitka and Juneau with hotel night on
each end including your hotel and
local tours (a 9-day vacation, 7 nights on board). The north itinerary
features a stop in Gustavus and includes a Glacier Bay catamaran cruise
among the glaciers. The south itinerary features unspoiled wilderness areas
such as Fords Terror, Dawes Glacier, Gambier
Bay, and Tracy Arm.

6. Cabins average 7 x 14 ft. and have a
bathroom with shower and queen or twin beds.

Dress:
Very casual; kayaking and hiking clothes,
raingear, over-the-calf rubber boots.

Facilities and Activities:
This is a
remodeled 1944 Miki ocean-going tug boat that was built to serve in World
War II, still with the original 8 cylinder Enterprise engine. There is a hot tub, kayaks and skiffs for use
at visits along the Inside Passage. You can visit the bridge.The
main salon has large viewing windows and a diesel-fired wall fireplace.
The vessel anchors in different locations throughout the day for shore hikes
and kayaking. Some shore walks are set for the active person but are not
difficult. Typical wildlife watching can include bear, moose, wolves,
eagles, puffins, sea otters, sea lions, orca and humpback whales. Guests
learn about edible plants and other flora and fauna. They kayak near
glaciers. Evenings are spent in discussions and learning about celestial
navigation on a starry night. Some cruises feature complimentary masseuse.
