Itinerary: Late May through September
there are seven-night trips between Juneau and Sitka exploring
wilderness bays and inlets of the Tongass National Forest in southeast Alaska. (The Tongass is part of the
world’s largest intact old-growth temperate rainforest.)

Cabins: 10 cabins with a queen-size lower bunk and a
single upper bunk. Each cabin has a private bathroom with toilet, sink and shower.

Dining: All meals prepared fresh.
Special diets accommodated with advance notice. Wines, liquors and soft drinks are complimentary.
Picnic lunches are available for hikes, fishing or canoeing adventures.

Facilities and Activities: This is a
wooden-hulled former Navy minesweeper,
built in the U.S. for France in World War II with wooden hulls to avoid magnetic mines
(Liseron is French for "morning glory".) The Boat Company is a
not-for-profit organization
promoting conservation, with special emphasis on southeast Alaska. Passengers
observe wildlife in its natural habitat, including sea lions, brown bear and
humpback whales, and fish for halibut, salmon and trout, explore glaciers,
hike, beach comb tidal flats, and kayak in secluded coves. Most participants have an interest in conservation
and wildlife issues and many are avid fishermen. Many crew members have degrees
in natural science or are professional environmental educators acting as
naturalists.

cabins with queen lower bed and a twin upper, and 2 main-deck cabins with
twin beds. All have private bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink.
- Facilities and Activities: This is an aluminum replica of the Liseron,
and has similar hiking, fishing, kayaking activities.
