Passengers: 8. Barge is 98 ft. long, is air-conditioned and heated, has a splash pool and a hot tub. It goes on the Canal du Midi.

Passengers: 8. Typically starts from Mainz (near Frankfurt), Koblenz or Köln and goes to Basel, Rüdesheim, Koblenz, Cologne, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, or London.
This is a historical German coaster converted into a passenger vessel. It is air-conditioned and heated. It has a piano, two conference rooms. Languages spoken: German, English, French. For groups with more then 8 people overnight stay can be arranged onshore in hotels.

AU FIL DE L’EAU

Passengers: 8. The barge has four cabins each with a double bed plus single upper bunk and goes on the canals of Burgundy. Each cabin has an ensuite bathroom. Those who wish to take their meals aboard have a fully equipped kitchen and barbecue at their disposal. There is  a bed and breakfast cruise for those who prefer to eat lunch and dinner in local restaurants and a half board cruise.

Passengers: 24. This hotel barge, air-conditioned, travels the Upper Loire Valley. There are seven cabins with twin beds, three with double beds, and four singles.

Passengers: 6. This barge, launched in 1998, cruises on the Canal du Midi in southwest France. Cabins are twin or double, with private shower and toilet. Excursions include Roman ruins, vineyards and the walled city of Carcassonne.

Passengers: 18. Hotel barge. There are two double-bed cabins and seven twin-bed cabins, all with individual air-conditioning and heating and private bath with shower.  Six-night cruises go along the Canal de Bourgogn and Canal du Centre in the Cote d'Or wine region. A watercolor cruise features painting workshops.

FANTASIA
There are 3
double bed cabins, each with private bath. There are bicycles, a razor-scooter, fishing rods, satellite TV, a VCR, piano, home entertainment system, and e-mail facilities. Guided tours are given in an air-conditionevan.  Owners are French/Dutch and multi-lingual.

FLEUR DE LYS
France

Passengers: 7. Each cabin has canopied king or twin beds, private dressing room, bath with double sink. There is a pool and a salon with antiques, grand piano, TV/VCR . It travels from Chagny to Chateauneuf in the Cote d’Or. The barge was featured in a full-length article in Town & Country.

HIRONDELLE

Passengers: 8. The Alouette and Hirondelle can travel in tandem for large groups.

HORIZON II
France

Passengers: 12. Cabins include one double suite and five twins with individual air-conditioning and heating controls, and private bathroom with shower. The barge is a split-level design with paneled interiors. It cruises on the Canal de Bourgogne between Tanlay and Marigny-le-Cahouet.

L’ABERCROMBIE

Cruises on the Yonne River and Canal de Bourgogne from Auxerre to Ancy le Franc. Twin and double cabins with private bath and shower. Three and six-night cruises.

L'ART DE VIVRE

Passengers: 8. Goes from Vermenton to Mailly le Chateau, Merry Sur Yonne, Lucy Sur Yonne, Chevroches, and Dirol.  Cabins were refitted in 2008.

L’ETOILE

Passengers: 6.  A traditional Dutch barge that goes on the Canal du Centre in Burgundy and on the Canal du Rhone and Canal du Midi. Value Season: Half-board  or Full-board. Wine cruises in Southern Burgundy in April and August.

LA BELLE EPOQUE
France

Passengers:12. Vintage Dutch barge. There are sundeck spa/pool facilities, plus sauna and fitness studio. Cabins are air-conditioned with choice of twin or double beds. Two cruises offer French lessons as part of the cruise in April and October.

LA CHOUETTE
France

Passengers: 6. Traditional Dutch barge. At least one meal per day taken ashore (included in price)Each cabin has private facilities. The barge cruises the upper Loire between Paris and Montargis and Paris and Epernay. Charter only.

LAFAYETTE

Passengers: 22. Cabins are on the lower deck and public rooms on the upper deck. There are six twin cabins, four doubles and two singles, each with private shower and toilet and opening portholes.
 

LA JOIE DE VIVRE

Passengers: 10. There is a pool on deck and chauffeured pickup and return to Paris. It cruises in the Upper Loire, including a tour of Fountainbleu Palace and the wine town of Sancerre.

Passengers: 6. This barge usually goes in the Burgundy and Loire regions, but in spring tulip time travels between Holland, Belgium and France.

Passengers: 12 and 6. These two barges often travel in tandem in central Burgundy from Dijon to Fleurey-Sur-Ouche, Gissey, Pont D’Ouche and Vandenesse.

Passengers: 6. Traditional Dutch barge that goes on the Canal du Midi. There are twin and double cabins, each with private facilities and individually controlled heating and air-conditioning.

LE BON VIVANT

Passengers: 8. This is a new 126 ft. barge with four staterooms, air-conditioning and heating, a sauna, fitness room, and small pool. It floats southern Burgundy and eastern Loire from Dijon to Chagny and Paray-le-Monial.

Passengers: 8. This barge was built in 1910 in Holland as a square-rigged sailing cargo barge. The barge was reconfigured as a luxury passenger vessel. Cruises the River Yonne and Canal du Nivernais between Auxerre and Clamecy.

L’IMPRESSIONNISTE

Passengers: 12. Barge is air-conditioned and heated, has a pool, hot tub, and fitness equipment. It floats in the Cote d’Or and Yonne regions in spring and summer, then in fall travels the Rhone Valley between Avignon and Agde in Provence and the south of France.

Passengers: 20. Two sun decks. The boat is air-conditioned throughout. Cabins on the upper deck have large opening windows; those on lower deck have opening portholes, each with private shower and toilet. Route is in Burgundy along the upper Canal de Bourgogne.

Passengers: 22. This hotel barge goes through the French region of Alsace and on the Arzviller barge-lift up a mountain. Air-conditioned throughout. Cabins have twin beds, private bath.

LUCIOLE

Passengers: 14. This barge, built by author John Liley, cruises the Canal du Nivernais and upper Canal de Bourgogne in Burgundy. The barge is air-conditioned, has six twin bed cabins and two singles, each with private shower and toilet and opening windows.

MARJORIE II

Passengers: 12. In March and May cruises Holland. France cruises include Paris/ River Seine, Auxerre to Montbard, Paris to Chalons-sur-Marne, Chalons-sur-Marne to Nancy, and Nacny to Koblenz. There are six cabins with twin or queen configuration, air-conditioned, with private bath. There is a sun deck with jacuzzi. The itinerary includes Monet’s home at Giverny and Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte. Golf charters available.

Sightseeing includes ruins at Orange and Aries, Roman aqueduct at Pont de Gard, winetasting at Chateauneuf du Pape. August cruise features opera. Includes transfers from Paris.

NENUPHAR
France

Passengers: 12. Built in 1924 in Belgium, barge was converted to a hotel barge. Nenuphar means water lily in
French. Four cabins have queen beds, two have twin beds; each has individual air-conditioning and heating controls, and private bath with shower. There is a dining room and a sundeck with a fringed awning. It cruises along the Canal de Briare, Canal du Loing and River Seine. A culinary cruise features demonstrations of French cooking.

NIAGARA

Passengers: 6. The cabins are on the lower deck and the wheelhouse and spa pool are on the upper deck. Cabins have opening windows or opening portholes. The barge has 3 and 6-night trips on the Cote d’Or.

Passengers: 6. Floats the River Cher in the Loire Valley.

PRINCESS
France, Luxembourg, and Germany

Passengers: 8. Built in the Netherlands by Daniel Ludwig, international shipping magnate and founder of Princess Hotels, as his private barge. There are four cabins with king or twin beds, individual air-conditioning and heating controls, and private bath with shower. There is a canopied sundeck. Cruises: in Champagne; in the Moselle Valley of France, Luxembourg and Germany between Thionville and Koblenz; and
in Alsace-Lorraine between Strasbourg and Nancy.

QUIETUDE
France

Passengers: 8. There is a split-level dining room, a piano, and an open fireplace, with 3 double cabins and a fourth with bunk beds. Each has private shower and toilet. It cruises the upper Canal de Bourgogne and River Yonne.

Passengers: 8. A Dutch barge, air-conditioned, plus a large opening roof that allows you to cruise in the open air without going on deck. Cabins are twin or double with private shower and toilet and opening windows. It cruises the Midi Pyrenees.

SAINT LOUIS
France

Passengers: 6. Charter-only barge has three cabins with twin beds, private bath and screened window. There is central heating and air-conditioning, cellular phone service. English-speaking crew. There are wine-tasting cruises and a dine-around cruise with five meals at restaurants on shore (jacket required for men). Children are accepted age 6 and above. Trips can be planned around tennis, golf or bridge. Barge goes through Burgundy in the Cote d’Or and in the Ouche Valley from Dijon to Point Royal.

Passengers: 6. Has a wood-burning fireplace, satellite TV, central air-conditioning and heating, and a garden room with a fountain. Cabins have twin or king-sized beds, private shower and toilet, and opening windows. It cruises Camargue and Provence, Burgundy, the Upper Loire, Montargis to Lagny and Champagne region.

Passengers: 6. There are three twin cabins, each with private shower and toilet. The barge goes on the Canal du Midi.
